My name is Maylor Gerardo Herrera Alvarado. I am originally from Valle Azul, San Ramón, and I have over 11 years of experience working as a tour guide in Costa Rica.

I am a professional passionate about nature, biodiversity, and adventure tourism. I hold a Local Guide License for the Central Volcanic Area, with a specialization and focus on birdwatching, as well as a Specialized Guide License in Cables and Ropes.

Throughout my career, I have gained experience in assisting and guiding visitors, striving to provide safe, enriching, and high-quality experiences. I achieve this through my knowledge of the natural environment, biodiversity interpretation, and the responsible application of safety procedures inherent to adventure activities.

I consider myself a responsible, committed, respectful, and service-oriented person, with a strong interest in sharing the natural and cultural wealth of Costa Rica with visitors.

Hi, my name is William Granados

Born and raised in San Ramon

With more than 38 years of experience in the tourism industry, from those, 32 performing as a Naturalist Guide, Photographer and Nature Interpreter in many of the Costa Rican National Parks and Nature Reserves.

Proud of my roots, love to share our culture and region with our guests and visitors.

One of my hobbies is to cook, so I’m working now in a project to rescue our traditional and regional cuisine along with our family recipes.

Most of my time, if I’m not on the road, enjoy gardening at home along with my wife Heidy, travelling around the country birdwatching and enjoying Wildlife photography.

Hi, my name is José.

I’m from San Ramon, more specifically from La Paz, where growing up surrounded by nature kept me connected to it since I was a kid.
Although I’ve been learning about nature my entire life, I started working as a Naturalist Guide in 2019. I’m a Tourismologist, graduated from the University of Costa Rica (UCR), and a Certified General Tourist Guide, graduated from the National Institute of Learning (INA).
I specialize in nature photography tours, focus on birds and herpetofauna. My knowledge of wildlife, combined with my experience in photography, allows me to help photographers find challenging species and the best locations to capture great images. I’m always happy to share photography tips and techniques to help my guests improve their results.
Passion is probably the word that describes me best. I love nature so much that even in my free time I find myself doing the same things I enjoy while working.
I always do my best to make sure the people I guide have a great experience while feeling safe, comfortable and welcome.
